J une 1973. Henry Wittinger has much to

celebrate. He's turning 21, he graduates with honor from Western Shore University, and he's the youngest Field Researcher in history. He will finally begin his adult life, and he's looking forward to joining the the FBI as a pathology assistant in his hometown.

 

Only a few days in, his new team gets the daunting task to solve the mysterious murders of four fellow Field Researchers. A baffling investigation from the start, it becomes terrifying, challenging Henry's whole worldview. The burning question becomes more urgent the more they uncover; what killed the researchers, and, more importantly, can it be stopped?

 

Meanwhile, unexpected events threaten to shatter the tightly bonded team, and Henry finds himself having to take on a responsibility he is not ready to take. With the world changing around him, he desperately needs to turn the tide before it is too late.

Of Darkness Born is a coming-of-age novel set in the horror world created by H.P. Lovecraft. It is the third freestanding book in the series about the Field Researchers.
